Someone pointed me towards the Washburn Preacher, and I’d honestly never paid it much attention. But after doing some reading online, I found I liked it a great deal after all.

It’s available in a lot of different versions, some easier to come by than others. I found this one on a German classifieds site for a more than fair price. The bottom was a bit damaged and the original Olympic White had by then taken on more of a latte macchiato colour.

I replaced all the (chrome) hardware to make it as close a copy of Paul Stanley’s Preacher as possible. The pickups have been swapped for Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded pickups, and I still intend to have it resprayed in Olympic White.
