I came across this one on Reverb. I was never a fan of Gibson Les Pauls — mainly, I think, because of the sunburst finish.

Paul Stanley played a Gibson Les Paul Standard on the Hot In The Shade tour. To this day I’m still not sure whether that was Tobacco Burst or Bourbon Burst, but both were beautiful. Especially with the “open” humbuckers.

This 50s Standard was up for sale at a good price. It did have a small mark in the finish, top left on the front. I bought it anyway, and it’s a beautiful guitar that sounds lovely too. I replaced the bridge pickup with a Suhr Doug Aldrich and flipped the zebra neck pickup round.
